SAMUEL PLIMSOLL CHAPTER 20TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY One Saturday in early October, Plimsoll members gathered at State President (and Plimsoll member) Esther Coy's home to celebrate twenty years of fun and fellowship. Samuel Plimsoll Chapter was founded in October 1983. What a wonderful twenty years! Standing: State President and Hostess Esther and current Regent Jane. Plimsoll members and their guests honored Connie, who was the founder of Plimsoll Chapter and its first Regent. Connie and Jane toasting the Chapter, and standing are Pat (former Regent) and Connie (with flowers). Like all DBE functions, the food was delicious. Saffron Caterers provided a veritable feast, and members baked mouthwatering desserts, like chocolate and raspberry cake and coconut cheesecake. Penny (former Regent) and Jane at the dessert table. A highlight of the evening was the skit put on by Ivy and Olivia. As the oldest members, they have many memories. Ivy was a charter member of DBE when it was formed in Louisiana in 1959, and actually signed the original incorporation papers.
