2004 NATIONAL DBE CONVENTION IN KANSAS CITY
Representatives of 27 DBE states flocked to Kansas City to conduct business, hear the latest news of the four Homes, meet each other, exchange ideas, and generally have a good time. Members of the 28th National Adminstration (Kansas) were thanked for a job really well done, and members of the 29th National Adminstration (California) began their exciting journey of the next three years.

Kansas DBEs welcomed everyone with warmth and enthusiasm.

The theme of the Convention was the 60th anniversary of D-Day. Following tradition, the first day was "Hat Day" and there were some splendid hats.
Proving again "it's a small world"...... Madeleine (Louisiana) and President Ann discovered that they both came from Croydon. Not only that, they both went to the same Highschool and knew the same teachers. Not in the same year, but probably at the same time. Now Madeleine is searching for her long, rolled-up school photos (we all have them!) to see which year they were both there.
The 29th Administration were installed at this Convention.
