On Friday May 21, 2010, seven enthusiastic DBE members set off for Gonzales to share their love for Afternoon Tea.  This year, the Public Library in Gonzales is commemorating fifty years of service to the people of Ascension Parish, and we were there to help them celebrate.

After a presentation about the history and making of tea, and the origins and preparation of Afternoon Tea, then we served the 40 attendees their own delicious spread.  The event seemed to be very popular, because there were nearly 20 names on the waiting list!
