Pub Extravaganza

Palm Court Cafe

On Saturday September 27th, 2008, DBE in Louisiana held their Pub Extravaganza at the Palm Court Jazz Cafe, and were thrilled to raise so much for both Mountbatten House and the New Orleans Firemens Foundation.  We owe a big debt of gratitude to member Nina Buck, who donated the venue, closing to the public for the night so we could hold our event.  She made everything go very smoothly.  Thanks, Nina!  Thanks, also to those who attended and donated to The Cause.  And special thanks to those who volunteered their time and talents to make the evening special:  MC Peggy Scott Laborde, Auctioneer John Fowler, Piper Bob Grubb and Fireman Capt. Tom Howley (Mr. December in the 2009 Firemens Calendar.)
