IN MEMORY OF MADELEINE HARMON

1945-2006

All DBEs in Louisiana are deeply saddened by the death of State President Madeleine Harmon, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Madeleine served DBE in many capacities at Chapter, State and National levels for over thirty years. But more than that, she was a fun person, with an infectious grin.

Madeleine's best friend, member Jackie said it for all of us in her remarks at the funeral. She quoted from the John Travolta movie "Phenomenom." John's character has a brain tumor with only weeks to live. He says to his girlfriend: "Hey, would you, uh, love me the rest of my life?" to which she replies: "No. I'm gonna love you for the rest of mine." That says it all. We will never forget you, Madeleine.
