A deluxe hotel in the heart of the West End, just a few minutes walk from Marble Arch and Bond Street station and Selfridges store. The Selfridge is a traditional 294-bedroom English hotel offering the best in service and a relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are equipped with modem point, trouser press, tea and coffee making facilities.   The hotel has many interesting pricing deals. If you find a publicly available price for the same room in Selfridges somewhere else on the Internet, Selfridges will match the lower price and give an additional 10% discount. When I checked the site, they were offering a 2.50 pounds per person per night discount when the reservation was booked online, also an over-55s discount, and a Sunday night at half price if you stayed Friday and Saturday. She uses www.hotelink.co.uk for transportation from the airport to her hotel. They drive you door-to-door to your hotel, and if you book online, the 15 pounds charge each way from Heathrow is reduced to 14 pounds.
