Down in the depths of deepest "Darzet", there is a beautiful beach hotel that is so hidden away, you need to know about it to find it.  I came across it quite by accident.  It's situated just outside of Weymouth on the road to Bridport.  There is only one "small" signpost pointing the way to it on a tiny roundabout.  The windy road down to the Hotel downsizes from an 'A' road, to a 'B' road, to a 'C' road - through a farm and finally down to Chesil Beach itself near where the hotel is situated. The hotel itself is a converted mansion and every room is period - it's absolutely beautiful.  Even the lounges have an incredible period atmosphere with the furniture and aesthetics.  There are horses in the stable for rides across the countryside, beach walks, and the dining is superb. If you go to the website of Moonfleet Manor House, you will see that although it is in a secluded location, the hotel offers a wide range of activities and amenities.  These include badminton, tennis, squash, an indoor pool, board games, croquet, nintendo, beauty treatments, and even babysitting and a nursery available.  All three meals are offered, as well as Afternoon Tea.
