This is a Wolsey Lodge establishment. Information about the Wolsey Lodge concept can be found at their website. There is a nominal fee to join the Wolsey Lodge organization.
This is a listed house dating from 1840 in the Dove Valley, a few miles from the old market town of Ashbourne. Marjorie loved this tiny village in the country. It's within easy reach of several historical houses well worth a visit, including Chatsworth, Kedleston, Haddon, Hardwick and Calke Abbey.
Your hosts are Sue and Edmund Jarvis. Sue is an accomplished Cordon Bleu cook and uses produce directly from the kitchen garden.
For more information you can go to the Wolsey Lodge website, and go to property C33.
Directions:
From Ashbourne take A515 towards Lichfield and after about 3 miles turn right on a bend at sign to Snelston. Follow road for 1 1/4 miles to center of village, passing a gate lodge and church on right and red telephone kiosk on left. The house is opposite the stone cross. Turn right here and first left to rear of house.
